You'll noticed most of my smoothies has some type of berry in them. Well, I love berries. They add gorgeous color and they are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants!
Benefits of Blueberries:
Contains high amount of fiber that helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease
Also contains potassium, folate, vitamin C, vitamin B6
Benefits of Blackberries:
Blackberries are rich in bioflavonoids and Vitamin C,
Have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all fruits.
Benefits of Strawberries:
Antioxidant-promoting vitamin C and manganese.
They are also a very good source of dietary fiber, iodine, and folate.
A good source of copper, potassium, biotin, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin B6, and omega-3 fatty acids.
Servings: 2 (8 oz glass)
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup strawberries
3/4 cup almond milk
blackberries for garnish
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth or until desired consistency is reached. Top it with blackberries for garnish.
